Our Hokie Hero this week is Second Lieutenant Brian Alberts .  Brian is currently stationed at Kandahar Air Base, Afghanistan as a member of the 98th Maintenance Company, United States Army.  Brian is currently serving as a platoon leader and provides critical maintenance support for units in and around Kandahar.  Brian is from Stafford, VA and this is his first combat deployment.  Second Lieutenant Alberts is a Class of 2008 graduate of the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets and was the regimental operations officer during his senior year.  Brian would like to send love to his parents Richard and Susan, and his sister Melissa, and of course GO HOKIES!
